ECVI fishing winters

Thinking of going out saturday to see if there are any winters around Parksville/Nanoose.Has anyone fished this area in the winter? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

TM,I was out on Monday for a troll around Gerald and Ballenas. Marked a tiny bit of bait but it was really slow and cold. If you're gonna go the best bet would be Gerald with Green/white coyote on one side and same colour hootchie on the other. This combo produced 4 springs two weeks ago.

I was out with BRS monday his reports dead on. Greg dont support this kids addiction. All he will fish is a dam green/white coyote anytime anywhere.Theres others lures!

Saw one boat in the distance thats it. I caught broncitus(no joke) but thats it. BRS dont even get those two interested in the gay pride hootch or they will be hooked and remember if anyone ask what you caught it on it was the black/white spoon.

No idea just go grab the gear. I may be in calgary but im staying salty.Nothing like a good friday night whale hunt. Just gotta make sure the harpoons sharpened and big enough for the beast..... Im sure i dont need to tell you as memory tells me your the expert. Go fish already.
