Downrigger Line Revisited

So for all you guys that have changed your downriggers from cable back over to braided line, what has the outcome been? How much gear have you lost? It been close to 2 months for some of you, and was woundering if you have learned any new swear words yet or really happy. I am about to take the plung and change over??????

I changed over two years ago and have done around 75 trips with the braided line. I have lost one downrigger ball when I hung up on a ledge while fishing an area for the first time. Otherwise, the line has been great. I use 140 lb Tuff Line Plus XT for it's thin diameter. Also, I only use 7 to 10 lb lead cannon balls. I will never go back to wire line and the next time I put line on the downrigger I'm going to try 100 lb test instead.

did you notice a big difference in the way your line tracks in the water with the smaller surface of the braided line?
