Down rigger snubbers

This is sort of how I do it. Did it this way for years and no problems, but now I don't use the barrel swivel just tie all on the #100 test that I use for my release clip. I double up the green cord and just put the loop though the eye of the cannon ball and drop the ball back though the loop. Cuts way down on all the hardware.

Also, try alength of gagnon that is exactly the length from your DR stopper switch to the water (or where ever you prefer to have you ball stop) tie your rigger braid to the gagnon with a nail knot. carefully burn the gagnon, just cause to form a blob that no way in hell the knot can pull by it and also it serves as a durable stopper that will never come off. Tie your favorite cannonball clip to take your ball on and off or directly. crimp a piece of purlon on the gagon tight where you like your clip to be and the lenght you like (can be atthe wheel if you want) the release setup can go through the wheel if you want. there you go. no expensive snubber, crimps, clips about as cheap and duable as it gets.

Derby should be along soon with his set-up,
I use it on mine and works perfect with Braid anyway,
