dodgers

Just wondering if anyone uses dodgers anymore.They do give a nice action,trolled slow might work ok for socks.I used to use them for summer springs.Also what the heck is a jacksmith.Anyone been out to active or poiler passes.

I started using Palco 3 or 4 in Feb 2005 because I got annoyed with twisted line from flashers. Did not really have a big twist problem but decided to try to eliminate all twist. Have not been very successful since, but that is probably more due to not fishing where and when the fish are. First time out with the Pal, I got a nice big Spring, so I went back and bought all the rest of the dodgers Berrys had. I still run one or two dodgers and usually a third line with either a flasher or just a lure. Best luck has been trolling fast, rigger back at least 45. Never tried for Socks last year. And yes what the heck is a jacksmith.

dunno what jacksmith is..but Killer Sock lure (14 in 2 hrs) is chrome dodger, 9" leader, 2 2/O Rad gali's and a dab of pink Powerbait on the lead hook....have at em Sproat narrows and inside always worked for me...

and doesnt the powerbait just disappear too quick. I have tired stuffing a hootchie, but it seems to wash away as soon as it hits the water. Maybe wet fingers was the problem.
