Looks like the QF Foods T-bone sale is over but it has been replaced by a sale on Top Sirloin grilling steaks or roasts aged a min. of 21 days, Canadian AAA, for $9.99 a lb. May 30 to June 5.

Just got back from Save On Oak Bay. They have two pack whole fresh frying chicken on for $1.99 a lb. One went in the freezer and the other got a dry rub, a light spray of Avacado oil and then placed on a vertical stand with an open can of beer up its butt. Beer Butt Chicken for din din.

Anyone got any suggestions for better beef in the LM? Ideally, closer to Vancouver. I went to three legit butcher shops today in East Van and the marbling in the beef is just crap. I don't want to get into the Wagyu, but where can I get some REALLY nice AAA ribeyes?

Out...
Beefway
Columbus
Calabria
All the chain grocers

I always went to Windsor on main.

You pay more but Tenderland or Armando’s on Granville Island is where the Chefs shop for their personal use steaks. Beef is so expensive in general I just go for the sure thing and eat half the amount and less often. If you go early before 10 you beat the crowds and don’t pay for parking.

Ah yes! I don't know why I didn't think of this. Thank you!

Cioffi’s possibly on East Hastings, Two Rivers in North Van really good- had a really great aged ribeye a month ago from there a friend made, but it was $$$
Cioffi’s has nice stuff. Also Costco is worth a peek, they have some really sexy lookingsteaks every now and then

I was surprised how terrible the steaks looked there this time around.

10lbs of AAA Alberta grain fed skirt steaks purchased from Tenderland this AM! He convinced me to spend 1/3 what I was going to.
