I’ve always had a bad case of two foot—itis. This itch I just had to scratch over the last ten years was always thinking I needed a bit bigger boat.
But now this two-foot itis thing has changed.....I now have two-foot itis for what’s hanging on the transom—-after buying a few boats with pairs of outboards, now I find myself wanting additional pairs of outboards.....but all on the same boat. I guess having more outboards is safer because of the added redundancy? I’m asking a question here...not necessarily stating a fact
So I’m thinking of stepping up for this boat:
The question is: maintenance costs.
When it comes to the 100 hour maintenance, could I expect some sort of volume discount if all 6 outboards needed the same amount of maintenance at the same time?
I’d also like to get a kicker motor for trolling to keep the hours down on the other 6 big ones but I”m not sure where to bolt on the kicker motor.
This two-foot itis thing is harder to manage then I thought
