Renfrew is great in the Bay for Coho right now, but you can limit out off the Head in Sooke
might have to release a bunch of wilds, but Coho are in abundance right now

Yes it's actually usually better first few weeks October when rains start to move bigger fish in waves. Plus in Oct limit changes and your allowed to retain one wild per day.

Unfortunately wound up having to work so didn't manage to get out anywhere exotic. Poppoed out to French creek for a brief tide change and picked up two nice coho about 8-10 pounds though to salvage the weekend. Small spoons at 70 to 90 feet were the ticket. Fish were load up with krill in the stomachs and had beautiful bright meat.
