Charters in cancun

Hey fellas heading to cancun in January. Anybody have any preferred charter outfits or guides ? Not looking for a tourist boat ride or booze cruise. Also is it a good time to fish there? Thanks

Grab a cab down to Playa del Carmen much better offshore options and maybe you charter operator can help with the transfer details.

Wasabi Loco is popular but I haven't fished with them myself.

I chartered with Keen M Charters out of Isla Mujeres (Island just off of Cancun). Pretty sure they can pick you up on the dock in Cancun. Big solid boats, American guy owns/runs the operation, and they will run you to where the fish are. We travelled over 50 miles to find Sailfish. My son combined to catch and release 9 sailfish in one day. Not cheap but definitely a top notch operation.
