Chart overlay

I have Lowrance G3 and HDS 8 Gen 2 and want chart overlay.
What else is needed and where on the mainland would be the best to get if from now that Nikka is winding down ?

I believe the new Lowrance Point 1 GPS puck will give you radar overlay. Talk with Mike at the Harbour Chandler in Nanaimo. He will walk you through the whole thing and shipping is cheap. Even if you don't buy the new puck from him he will guide you in the right direction.

A point 1 GPS puck and a NMEA starter kit would get the chart overlay working although you won't get MARPA functions without a fluxgate compass system. Let me know if you need one or any more info.
