too true holmes. Traders needed to whip the tsx up to keep the money flowin.
it didn't drop .05 over nite, it's been over a few days, was down about .02 today. it is up close to a penny in after hours trading right now, so between .97 and .98. it's just banks etc. bailing on the euro and buying us dollars driving it up in the short term. also commodities are falling so you get a selloff on cdn and aussie $ . things are going to get uglier than what we saw in 2008 real quick unless the europeans do something meaningful to correct their financial mess.

if money is that tight that you are not going over 2 cents on the dollar. then you really couldn't afford it when the dollars above par

FInd yourself some nice flights on a canadian carrier (westjet for example), and hotels are generally reasonable down there anyways! No squabbling over a few cents now
i guess it is all about perspective... I remember going down there 20 years ago with my folks and they didnt seem to ***** too much when the cdn dollar was worth .65 cents!

i can speak for many in our country when I say that there is nothing to complain about when our buck is at .96! did ya think it would stay at 1.07 forever??

This is not about me and Disneyland guys. I have traveled when our dollar has been more in the dumps. But when I was just looking at going this happens. Like WTF. Blame me for the dollar if you want I don't give a crap. Lets talk about our dollar and not my trip....OK

Thank gawd the dollar is down, considering almost 80% of Canada's GDP is built through US markets. Maybe we'll all still have jobs next month. LOL

I responded because you posted something silly about it tanking 5 cents overnight, and how you cant afford a trip! DO you not have anything better to post, other than the canadian dollar??
