Can I find a new fishing rig for under 25k?

Been out of the boat game for 8 years and thinking about jumping back in.
Ideally I'd like the following as I have a couple of kids:
New 16-17ft Fibreglass or aluminum boat that we can tube at the lake but I can still fish Spoke.
50-90hp 0utboard
Trailer
Is it possible to find this combo in Western Canada for under 25k or am I dreaming?
Thanks in advance :)

New 16' double eagle with 50hp Yam $25K at SG Power in Victoria.
wouldn't be good for pulling anyone over 100 lbs

you can sure find that boat you just have to be checking craigslist or used vancouver constantly. Took us a while but we finally scored on a 22 ht aluminum. but we lost out on a few boats and my life was dedicated to finding boat lol. for that budget you should be able to find a fiberglass boat much easier than an aluminum depending on what you want. i'd be looking for something in the 18 ft range. 16 and 17 is a fairly small boat out in the ocean.

Yes,I was hoping for new as I have had bad luck with used buy's.
90% of the time people sell stuff because something's wrong with it.
I'd consider a couple year old stuff with less than 50hrs on the outboard.
Thanks

I think 90% is a bit of a stretch. No doubt that some People will sell something if there's an issue with it. But lots of folks sell stuff as they move up in size or out grow there current boat/car/RV. Some of the best deals I've ever made have been second hand. Everything from cars to boats to houses. As with everything, research is your friend. Ask questions and more questions and if in doubt or if your limited in knowledge about what your looking at, take someone who knows with you. With boats, a survey will tell you lots. Experience helps too. Just my 2 cents worth.

I have a 17 1/2' armstrong aluminum center console with a new 115 hp evinrude etec with less than 10 hours on it with a 7 year (6 1/2 left) warranty on it. you can water ski no problem as we did with the previous 90hp suzuki I had on it. it's on a 2006 roadrunner trailer I bought new and just replaced the drums, bearings and brakes. it has less than 2000 miles on it and has been looked after. I will be posting it soon on craigslist in seattle and bellingham and have not determined a price yet, definitely over 20k but under 25k depending what goes with it. it is decked out to fish anywhere. I have taken it offshore tofino no problem. it is double hulled and foam filled. pm if interested and I can send you some pics, I'm in north van. I will not be putting it for sale on this site.

I bought a brand new Legend 16.5 footer with a 50 horse and it pulled a tube with two 100 pound kids no problem. It cost around 21,000 but more of a freshwater fishing and tubing boat as opposed to a salty, it was welded aluminum but not very thick like a lifetimer or silver streak.

You want new than your going to pay big money. I personally wouldn't buy a 16ft double eagle for 25k.. That is just me.

Kinetic you have kids. Go used and something in 17-18 feet range and make sure it has a small cuddy. This is just essential when you have the kids with you... It opens it up to a lake and ocean/family boat. A 16 foot is crammed..I did it for a while..Its Ok with two people but when you add the kids, and you want more safety... For 25k in used budget that opens up so many options and quite a bit of cash to play around with.. I would highly recommend the malibu 181/185 or campion explorer 18 foot models if you can find one... They are good family boats and great on the ocean..

I know you said you want new but man there are some good deal out there on used units right now. Take a look on Kijiji Alberta for 25gs you can get set up with a nice unit. Lots of over spent over financed out of work oilfield boys in AB dumping their stuff off. Not because there is anything wrong with it they just can't make payments.

Thanks for all the replies so far.
With our dollar sucking bad it rules out buying out of the US.
Anyone recommend a boat dealer in BC, Alberta or Saskatchewan?
Cheers
