Camper VS. Travel Trailer

I was debating over getting an older Cheap Cheap Camper and putting on a double axle flat deck trailer which my friend already has and leaving it in either Ukee or Renny..

Or would it be better just to get an older travel trailer with more room?

I usually only have time to run up and fish for a few days at a time and I thought I could use it for Hunting aswell which Im just starting this year...

On the other hand with friends and family shooting up to fish, will the lack of space in the Camper be to confining?

The more I think about it the more im thinking Travel Trailer... and then just get the cheap Camper/flat deck set-up for Hunting...

Go for the trailer if you dont plan on moving much. More than 2 in a camper can be a pain.

For room, the trailer is of course the way to go.

For versatility on the other hand, I recommend a camper. Many reasons, my main two are:
- You can still tow a boat behind a camper, can't with a trailer;
- You can drop the camper on any flat ground, and free the ruck for hunting or whatever.

Good Luck with your choice...

So true....But he is thinking about a camper on a flat deck trailer or a trailer. The being said I think the trailer is best.

There seems to be a few options for Trailer and moorage packages in Renfrew and Bamfield(Poett) but not a lot in Ukee... Island West is all I know of... and its pretty expensive... is there anything in Ukee for a Trailer and Moorage arrangement?

I pained over this very same decision a few years ago! lol I fish Renfrew 90% of the time and thought I would buy an old trailer and leave it Renfrew as well. I think that if you are putting the camper on a trailer then the travel trailer is the best option for a few reasons that have been mentioned....IMO I personally opted for a camper in the end to be able to pack the boat as well and dreams of travelling all over the Island. However......lol......I still mainly fish Renfrew so it spent most of it's time there anyways. It is a good option for 2 people or a couple with small kids.....but gets small fast if the weather is crappy and you aren't out fishing! lol That being said....I'm a beleiver that no one thing is good at two things.....always a comprimise somewhere? We still have our camper but ended up buying a cabin in Renfrew last year since again......we spend 90% of our time there fishing anyways! lol However....I'm keeping the camper for now to be able to haul the boat around the Island to fish and have a place to stay. That's the plan.....although I'm sure I will eventually realize that I really won't use it enough to keep.......good luck!
