The amount of drag in the water caused by thicker diameter line makes it "blow back "

This winter I finally had enough and tried 15lb balls (12's before), big difference. Big differance too between winter and summer, Scotty braid is ok when fishing shallower water, but in the winter fishing 120 - 180 ft of water the blow back is frustrating as hell.
