I Purchased a 20' Bayliner Classic with 3L mercruiser have a 9 hp kicker. Is this boat in anyone's opinion safe and sea worthy to travel across the georgia strait from Nanaimo, BC to Vancouver, BC. have way more safety equipment than required for boating. Would like feed back ploz.

Download the windy app, and check the government marine forcast. Ensure you have less than 10kn of wind the day before and for the full day of, your trip. 5kn or less preferred. Look for a high pressure system in the summer for a multi day window. Any size boat can be too small.

They cross from Nanaimo to Vancouver in bathtubs. Of course it is a big enough boat. As stated before, just watch the weather, it is no fun getting pounded when crossing.

I didn't know they made a 20' classic? Is it the 2452 or a bowrider style?
