Bennett electric trim tab indicator is confusing

I’m a bit confused with the trim tab controller and wondering if it’s wired correctly. I know that if you want starboard side to go down it activates the port tab. The issue that is confusing me is that the lights on the controller show on the port side when I activate the starboard button. Is that how it’s supposed to work as it’s counter intuitive to me.
This is the unit I have.

the indicator is just that, indicates when that tab is doing. run your buttons just like you normally do

I would like the lights to show how far I have the attitude of the boat trimmed. That is what’s intuitive to me.

I found this that says the lights can be adjusted.

Which lead to this. It means that I can switch how the lights show

I managed to switch the setting on the controller and now shows the lights on the starboard side for putting starboard nose down.

It’s a slick system. I’m very happy with mine
