Bead chain swivel question

Sorry to start a thread on such a menial thing, but searching isn't yielding satisfactory answers.

The other day I started pre-tying a bunch of hoochy rigs, and a buddy popped by and said, " you should tie on a bead chain so you can quick connect it to your flasher."

I initially thought that was a good idea. But then I got to thinking, the flasher is imparting action to the hoochy. I mean, this is why people use 40, 50 lb test on their rigs, to get that nice snap.

So, wouldn't attaching a bead swivel between the flasher and the hoochy minimize the action? Thoughts?

That is how I tie all my setups.

You don't need a bead chain on a hoochy at all.....

I make mine with a barrel swivel where it connects to the flasher. Some people even tie direct to the flasher........

a bead chain doesn't do anything for a hoochy...

You may need one if you're running:-

Bait
Apexes
Plugs.....(but don't have the bead chain anywhere near the plugface)
SeaFour lures
Any lure that constantly revolves on it's own axis.
Jugheads

I just make a up a beadchain roller combo out of those hi-speed black ones you can get at Harb Chan......(P-line makes 'em...others do too). Then if the lure requires it I snap it into place on the flasher (or main) and connect the lure to that.
