Bayliner 1986 24' Trophy OK or Terrible?

I am now thinking of buying a 1986 24' Bayliner Trophy that is in great condition and around 7K. BUT, I think if I happen to be in rough weather then either I or the boat will break in half. If I had proper resources I would never buy this boat, but will it be OK? Any thoughts?

Confidence is important when you're on the water. If you have no confidence is this boat before you buy it.....move on.

Dry rot will be your biggest worry. Check out the transom and the soul (floor) for delam or soft spots. If the transom is punky run away.
