Barkley Sound February Reports

Drove the road yesterday both ways. This rain has made it a bit nasty.
One grader was working, but other places were rougher than a southeast gale on the Big Bank. Hope they get it in shape before the weekend. Good luck all.

My buddies were the boat that got the 2 winter monsters off Swale, 4 days of fishing they had 5 total bites, Poet nook area had some action, so as it looks, slow Feburary. Prawning excellent

you folks get hammered with snow last night?? we have about 10" on the level here in sequim! don't think i will be pulling the boat this am.

Fished about 3hrs today just after tide shift. Double header - gone. Reset flipped around and nailed a little 5lbr. Tried for about another hour and headed to the traps.

Looking forward to seeing some of you this weekend.

I pickled a bunch of prawns for the occasion.

Gimee the gaff!!!

What's going on Osama? Things are pretty quiet on the dogs front.. Lots of working and bugger all for fishing.. Ol mother nature sure is tight on letting her water go.. I was scheduled to fish the derby this weekend and things fell through at the last minute.. I guess there are a few lucky mouths that will live to swim another day.. Let me know how you make out.. cheers-dirty

Nog's right. 19 took it, 18.5 second and 18 third.

Quite a few low teeners caught as well.

Couple of fives for our boat Saturday, and not much fishing on Sunday. (couple of late nights...)

Sounds like the bulk of the decent fish were in Sarita and right out front of the nook. Wind was shyte on Sat, Sunday wasn't really to bad.

Anyhow, thanks to those who came to Mills Landing, it was a great time at the party on Friday, fun bunch of guys. Backatit I had no idea that particular shade of green even existed...

Nice to meet you Felix, and if I remember correctly, you were in the boat that got third right? Nice work to you guys.

Gimee the gaff!!!
