Bamfield Trails Motel

I've heard some rumors that the Bamfield Trails Motel is either closed down or in real crappy condition. Anybody have any info?

We were there in August of last year and it was open and so was the pub. It would only take a phone call to check.

According to my cousin it closed at the end of the season last year , I take it we are talking about the Falcons Nest Pub and Motel right ?

The place is pretty run down and no one really knows when it will be open or closed.

I'd recommend staying elsewhere based on personal experience...

Pub was open for a couple weeks at the end of season last year, again, who knows...

Best deal in Bamfield was the guy with the old Navy ship that he parked in the Inlet.
Cant remember what he charged but it was super reasonable and the food was great.
Never had to worry about dock space at the end of the day as you just tied up to the side of the ship.

Got any more information on the guy with the navy ship? Sounds like a good thing. Has anyone else stayed there?

That ship is gone now, was owned by the same fella as the Motel I believe.

Plenty of good places to stay depending on your budget. Just not a lot of places to eat...

We always used to rent somewhere kitchen equipped.

Try Mills Landing cottages, Woods end cottages, or even Seabeams fifth wheels if you're wanting to do it on the cheap cheap.

The motel has been open all winter, but tough to get someone to answer the phone I think. Right now the "management" is trying to find staff for the pub and get it open asap. They just need a bartender.
It does suck for people to come here with no where to stay and no where to eat. The resturant is open about three days a week but you can't guess which three.
