How is the Bamfield Rd upgrades? Planning on camping at Pachena Bay. Is it decent enough to take the travel trailer out for a few days without destroying it? Thanks.

My old man and I drove out Dec 23. It’s better than most of the roads on gabriola. Great road.

take a 50' motorhome and tow your 30' boat!! its crazy good. just watch for some of the tree down debris.

Few of our Patrons towed the Grady's back this fall , they loved it , one man show again if need be

Can anyone offer insight on the boat launch and parking situation in Bamfield? I've always launched in Port and ran the inlet. Launching at Clutesi doesn't always line up great timing wise. I'm guessing parking will be a problem.

there is some pay parking around. contact the Ilene Scott/Centennial campground or i believe its called Paradise Lost parking. depending on boat size for launching? i recommend launching at a 3-4' tide minimum.

Can launch at poett nook and park up the hill. Always lots of parking.

The road is so good you really need to watch your speed. Corners come up quick if you’re not paying attention or tired. Especially in the dark and fog.

Yeah I went out to China Creek other day. As much as like the canal run its tempting to tow in now. Smooth road.

all good, just watch the bridges.

I towed my 30ft 5th wheel in last week and the road was great 60kmh no problems. Only bad spots if you want to call them bad are at all the bridges. Bit of a dip right at the bridge. Saw quite few motorcycles on the road too.
