

Years ago I visited a floating offshore pens when I was in Hawaii . And Yes -- it was amberjack they had in the pens. But I believe they might have tried salmon as well. But I took notice that many guide charters as well as locals were fishing close to the pens. Just saying......Almo always forgets the record high runs when all of the farms were in place. There are also still farms in the Broughton. So .... you can close some , keep some open and all is good ..... so maybe there is a place for some farms to continue to provide work while forestry dies on the coast.
