Anyone fishing tomorrow?

Tips Up

Hoping to get out tomorrow but the weather looks questionable.

Looks like a decent morning hali tide. Having just got the boat out of the shop I am crossing my fingers.

Anyone else?

Damn Weather!! Has not been a good winter for getting on the water this year.

Maybe a quick boat ride in Saanich inlet this afternoon. Anyone done any crabbing in the inlet lately?

Tips.

isn't prawning more productive there ?
throw down your salmon gear
while waiting for your traps to fill up.
you may just get a spring.
Nobody talking too much , but there's fish showing
up there again.

I think Prwans are closed till april 1!!!!! there is some good spots to catch springs in there whiskey pt, pat bay, wain rock etc

Good luck Wolf

Prawns are closed on the south island until April. I have done well crabing in there also but that was in the fall while prawning.

After a tour of the boat show(which was good buy the way)the wind had died down so I went to Cheana. Nice and calm. Trolled infront of the flag pole for a few passes and had a crab trap down for about an hour. No crabs, no fish. Boat ran great though and that was the reason for going out.
