Got this years display ready to rock. 3.5 minutes of pure chaos. This about $600 worth, all the dad's pitch in. I really have fun doing this.

I thought fireworks were illegal in Vancouver now? Not that it really made a difference last night. Love the three hours a year when it sounds like you are in a war zone

In PoCo, you are just supposed to get a fireworks permit that nobody applies for.

They are. We've seen a huge decrease around my house so this year I did it in Burnaby. Less Nimbies there.

It’s actually pretty funny. Teenage kids are chucking M80s at each other. I mean I love a good Roman candle fight like the next guy but M80s? We used to have black Cats and thunder bombs and those were plenty strong when one went off in your hand

This goes along the same line as the gun debate. Ban idiots, not fireworks.

I don't bother anymore as we will get great fireworks shows 2-3 time a week for the next 5 months down south
