Any Alternatives to Navionics App

Reviving old thread.
So my subscription that expired in 2015 and I was able to keep for free as long as I did not "update" finally came to an end when I bought new phone last week. I guess with older phones that you moved sim card from it carried over but no sim card now so I lost the freebee. Now I just see a basic map with no depths, details or tide and current details.
So I guess I have to buck up the $80 per year for this phone app?

The card in my boat still works fine but is outdated. If I update that from the website will I get a charge there also now?
That's what happened to me too in December. Previous phone transfers off subscription were ok. My last transfer to a pixel 9 had the same result. I don't think it's related to the sim card. My old phone, without a sim card, still shows detailed charts.

same just happened to me. no more free ride. i mainly used it to check the tide charts but the Navionics charts also render way faster than my boats Garmin unit so it’s nice to use. i also have heaps of rock piles and spots pinned on Navionics so it would be a shame to lose. $80 per year is pretty steep.

Like others have said, I also just use my phone to navigate when searching for specific locations. They are so much faster at processing than our average plotters. $80/year though, but I use it often throughout the year both on/off the water. Trip planning, estimating runs and fuel consumptions, etc. Cost of doing business. I did have to buy My Navi cards for my plotter though. Just no need to update them yearly and pay that cost. Download both the maps, one has more detail (sonar chart?) than the other nap. I’ve been using the Scotty 139 phone holder this past year and it’s been good, mounted in a good spot that is out of the way and can still keep my eyes up and forward when on plane.

Seriously look at TZiboat app. It's unreal.
Unfortunately the TZiboat app lacks pretty much all of the trip planning features that makes Navionics so useful. At least it did the last time I tried it. I tried to switch over to it on my previous boat which had a Furuno system, but it just wasn't that useful for me.

Are you talking about the manual trip feature?
