RICHARD, William Bill" E. July 27, 1944 December 21, 2010 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bill. Bill was predeceased by parents Gerry and Joseph, brother Leonard and wife Donna. Bill had his son Ryan, sonin-law Matthew and step-daughter Deanna with him at his passing at Victoria Hospice. He is survived by his family Dan (Crystal), Paul and his nephews Joe and Ben, and many other friends. Bill was diagnosed with esophageal cancer in May 2010. Bill was an avid fisher and always there to fix the equipment at Island Outfitters. Now, Bill can finally catch that so called Big Fish". Bill was a life-long resident of Esquimalt. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at the Sands Funeral Chapel on Quadra St. Afterwards, a reception will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion in Esquimalt. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Bill's name to Victoria Hospice or BC Cancer Society. 613432

Many of you will remember Bill from his time at Island Outfitters, North Park Tackle, Capital Iron, Jeune Brothers or when he was a guide way back when. He will be missed.
 
Bill was a good guy, he did a great job of fixing all kinds of broken tackle...
you're right Tom, he will be missed .
 
That really sucks cant tell you the how many times ive had Bill fix my stuff awsome guy trully will be missed......condolences to the family

I had the pleasure to meet Bill at Island Outfitter's last spring. I could see how well respected he was to all that knew him. It didn't take me long to see he was a guru at repairing any thing that was dropped on his workbench. His sence of humor was one that won't be matched. We truly have lost one of the good guy's.
 
What a great guy. I remember once I brought him a halibut rod two days in a row that had broken eyes and he and I had a chuckle about how I must be doing somthing wrong. Then he procedded to let me into his workshop and fix my rod with him talking about fishing stories. What a great guy he was indeed! RIP
