Anyone got any input on the following four aluminum boat builders ? Or any of these boats; Alumaweld,Boulton,Wooldridge,North River. I've seen all the boats in one style or another. 21-23'.Alumaweld Formula VEE 21'4" & 23'4", Boulton Sea Skiff w/ Gil Bracket 21' & 22', Wooldridge Super Sport Off Shore w/bracket 20' & 23'. Whether you own(ed)one, fished in one, been in one at a boat show, looked at one when looking for a boat......

I've looked at them all. The Canadian (Daigle/Silver Streak/ Armstrong) boats are far and above the Oregon made boats. That's why I own a Silver Streak.

armstrong boats are very well built and silver streak, my 2 cents tight lines scotty

Nootka, Armstrong Aluminum Boats are made in Port Angeles, Washington. I'm not looking to, or going to get into a debate over where to buy a boat. Just looking for some info, input , peoples personal experiences with said boats. I've narrowed it down too two boats and that is either the 20' & 23' Super Sport Off Shore Wooldridge. There made in Seattle , Washington. Anybody own(ed) one, been on one ...... I will outfit it with motors bought in Canada (warranty issues otherwise), and a trailer bought here as well (paperwork, alot of extra work involved if bought state side). There both american made.

There will be one seat in the boat that will have one of those air rides for sure. If there's going to be two, somebody else will be footing the bill if his arse is going to be as comfortable as mine.

I will post pictures of the SWEET Ultimate off shore fishing machine 22' ride we just turned over to it's new owner at EagleCraft heading to a west coast resort. There is a reason why most of the crew boats water taxi's, fish farm and eco tour boats and cruisers that are welded aluminum and ply the sometimes nasty waters of the west coast are EagleCraft the can handle the worst days for years and still be in one piece.

As for the best seat for rough waters it's a cab 301 suspension seat can be adjusted for any weight or size it's designed for semi trucks and is the best seat on the market but not cheap.

The boats I sell aren't cheap but they aren't built like a pleasure boat they are built to commercial standards and crews require them to go out in any weather condition as so do the customers that by them for that reason. We can design a dead rise, length, beam, cabin layout and power option that works for your uses while keeping your budget in mind. We have over 25 years expierence and have built over 770 custom boats from fleets of 18'QC Lodge boats, up to 38' cruisers plus police, search and rescue, fishing machines and more.

Cheers ME

Can anybody tell me what the advantage is of going to a 30-40 degree bow entry over say a 16-20 degree bow entry ? What are the pros and cons of such ?

more flare = drier ride and more stability and safety in rough stuff as the water is directed away from your boat. Down side, if your trimmed down youll be displacing more water = slower speed.
