American boat delivery

If the owner of the boat (American) decides to deliver it to Canada for sale do they need to do anything specific to cross the border and as the buyer I probably need to get the boat delivered to an insurance store so I can transfer and insure trailer, registration of the hull done online ? Or access canada

I'd get them to deliver it to the Blaine or point roberts and meet them. The trailer needs a recall letter if it's under 15 years old. If the owner is trying to deliver it to transact in Canada I think they might get kind of funny about collecting taxes.

I don't think you can do it that way, you need to purchase the American item in the US and then import it
