Over one month ago, I went prawning off Chemainus and lost a brand new trap. I obviously set it too deep, as I could not find the buoy.
This morning, while I was at work, my wife received a phone call from someone who said he had just found my trap, and told her he would drop it off at the Chemainus dock by the ferry terminal. My wife went to pick it up and, by the time I came back from work, the prawn trap was in my backyard.
I did not have an opportunity to personally thank that person, but I am very grateful for his honesty.
