A chance to fish the Juan de Fuca Salmon Derby – June 20th and 21st 2009.
I have a women friend (she knows how to fish) who inherited a couple of JDF Derby tickets (two rods) and they have been purchased. The deal to go fishing has fallen through as the guy with the boat hurt his back. As you know, tickets for this Derby are impossible to get and there are lots of big prizes.
Taking my friend out with the old guy I normally fish with on his little beater boat is not a good idea given the winds likely this weekend and the fact that she is a lady and wants a head with a little privacy.
So -- if you have a larger good condition fishing boat in the Sooke,Becher Bay area etc. – preferably docked and definitely with a working head, perhaps we can work out an arrangement re: sharing fuel, fishing, prizes etc. If you don’t have tickets, this could be your chance to fish the JDF Derby and would help us out. Anyone interested?
