After days of winds we got out onto the water today. At the Esquimalt launching ramp the news was that there were fish out at Constance. We got to the bank around 9:15, and counted 7 boats. I like to fish the edges of the bank and we did get a few bites but they were little more than shakers. Around 11:00 we got keeper #1 and then around Noon a much better result. The lure today was a white UV hoochie 24" behind the Madi flasher. Tried: herring, herring aid spoon, Mint Tulip hoochie, but it was the white hoochie that did the job. Fished in 100 to 150' of water and from on the bottom to 20 ft up. Currents were here and there, the tide table showed a long long ebb.
