I drove out to the Tsartlip / Brentwood bay Boat launch. Its really nice but sign says no public access. I call the nation a week ago and they said it could be open by the summer time meaning late June or beyond. Not sure what the issue is. But I have a feeling they don't want the public using it anymore regardless of court proceedings etc. It looked ready to go by my standards.

Fished Fairfax on Saturday among some very beautiful vessels. Only managed to reel in a few small chinooks.

Same. I was out for a few hours yesterday. Had a decent one at Hamley on the transition to the flood but current was ripping hard and it spazzed out/swam away. Lost one more undersized at mandarte. Slow…

I fished Fairfax last Friday and released 2 wilds around 10-12lbs and tagged a 70cm hatchery. Full size herring in the stomach of the fish I brought home. Slow fishing, all bites came on the tide turn in a short 30 min window.
