2026 OFFISHALL Vancouver- Howe Sound- Sechelt Report Thread

Great day out there and a perfect way to kick off work early on a Friday for a solo. Fish were caught around 2 and 3PM on the flood. No luck with the spoons but the white glow hootchie near bottom was clearly the ticket. Starting a little vlog which I will post every now and then (more for the excuse to buy some cool camera tech). Hope you enjoy!

Anyone get out today ? I tried , launched the boat and couldn’t get it to start. Didn’t even try . Booster pack , swapped batteries so seemed like an ignition issue. Tried in the driveway when I got home and of course she fired first try

Starter or starter solenoid?

Any chance it was in gear when you tried to turn it over
Negative . Was in neutral .
I’m gonna replace the battery regardless as it’s going on 6 years old now . Don’t think it’s related as it trimmed up and down no problem . Just wouldn’t even attempt
To start just beeped at me .

Nice job Jkozak! Really enjoyed the video, keep 'em coming.

Everyone seems to be eyeing the Hallies, Lings and Salmon here.

I'm actually interested in the "under valued" fish "
:)

Any advice on prime areas for Mackerel and Codfish....located in Vancouver Marina.

TIA.

Mackerel are rarely see 'Inside'- water temps are wrong for them as to Codfish there are a number of species we use that name for you need to be more specific.
