I was out on Friday last week in the kayak in Becher. The bait was finally in thick, but the salmon weren't there in numbers. I ended up catching a couple of 45-50cm fish, but that was it.
A few of us were out on Saturday afternoon to help get Art back on the water for one last fish (I posted a separate thread about that). It was as if the universe showed up for the guy and the top of the trench had clouds of salmon. They weren't that aggressive, but in the hour and a half we were out there, a number of fish were caught (including one by Art) and I lucked into a nice 12 lb chonk of a hatchery fish.
