Go to area 20, hit the salmon tab and scroll down. Then look at the map. Creke point to southern tip of Fraser Island only. GPS coords also on salmon tab AFAIKChinook is open at Beecher Bay? Where do I find that information!

I only see mention of Beecher Bay under restrictions in the salmon tab. Are you sure you are reading it right? My understanding is the restrictions information comes in to play once the area is opened to Chinook.Go to area 20, hit the salmon tab and scroll down. Then look at the map. Becher Bay is open for 1 hatchery as has been the case for the past few years from April 1 to August 1 and outside of those dates it’s the regular area 20 regs. Creike Pt to the southern tip of Fraser Island. Area 19 closes Chinook tomorrow until Aug 1 most likely.I only see mention of Beecher Bay under restrictions in the salmon tab. Okay. They sure don’t make it clear on the DFO website. That’s why I thought I would check here to find out what’s what. Just look for jumping coho'sAny tips for targeting coho in june, Ive had good luck for them in july but never tried this early.
One wild released Saturday morning. Saw a few jumpers as well. There are reports of early Coho in Nanaimo- are any showing up yet in the Sooke area?
It's always great to leave your fish, over the side of the boat. You can always feed the seals & sea lions better that way. I have seen it happen, tie him, up and bleed them out in the boat. YES, it can be messy but it's cleanable. Nice fish.On the hook by 6am. A few dogs and picked up a 96cm/23lbs at 9:30am. Mackerel and salmon belly. Beauty morning, good current and only a few boats off of Pedder.
Ten years and haven’t lost one yet but I get your point. Thanks for the tip. Lost my first ever salmon to a seal at a cleaning station when I reached down to give it a rinse. Didnt know what the hell had happened. It's always great to leave your fish, over the side of the boat. You can always feed the seals & sea lions better that way.
