Final tack of the season at Epsom on Sunday before hauling boat out for some tinkering. Lots of action but all undersize chinook (~30cm - 55cm) for me, down deep. Great sign for a productive winter season! Stunning day out there. Flat calm, humpback breaching. All the best everyone.

DFO opening Chum on Oct 17 in most areas. I have caught chum as bycatch but never targeted them. Good sportfish and looking to fill a smoker. Are there some popular favourites for chum fishing? I have heard Nanaimo / French Creek area can be good. Anybody try more local Pender waters, or are the same spots just as likley? TIA

Checked Chapman, HMB creeks and Sargent on Saturday, low water and no Chum. (yet) Water was low.

Yep most of mine have been on the Bjerre. One at Epsom this summer.
