Commercial ????Saw a picture of some nice big halibut from Nitinat today!
Only springs open are in 21( nitnat) so be willing to make the 25 mile runAwesome!! I’m heading to Renfrew May 7th and I hoping to hit some early season springs. Any projections? I’ve never fished there that early….
Feeders, odd bigger fish but mostly 8-15 lbsYes, we will be making the trip weather depending. Do the big springs get up there that early? Or are we fishing winters at that time?
Finishing getting the boat ready now, setting up camp first week of may, see you out there eventuallyHeading out on Saturday for a week. Should have the boat in on Sunday and see if I can't find some crabs and a few fish.
Jealous, hoping to get out for set up next week, my motor is sick f….. waiting on sensor hoping it solves this issue, see you out there eventuallySpent just over a week at our place. Weather and water were fantastic most of the week. Managed to get the boat in and run around a bit. Crabbing was really good with large hard-shelled crabs. Did a bit of jigging and managed a few nice Ling and a few Halibut but mostly just to see what was around. Great trip all in all and can't wait to get back.....

It can get sporty in early spring, no kayak for this guy lolTook the ol' kayak for a paddle out to the mouth of the bay yesterday and managed to find one 70cm ling and a few black rockfish. Nabbed some extra nice dungees, too. Man, it's sure intimidating on the outside with the waves crashing into the rocks, especially when the current and wind are pushing me toward the chaos.
I'm always down for one or twice a year out there, but that's probably enough, ha.
