Fish the the trough off Entrance Island betwee Gabriola and the two reefs just to the north in 220-240 feet of water scraping the bottom for bigger springs, we got our first light bite limits off 6 inch 500 plugs, fishing up high will yield coho, pinks and sockeye. We tried for sox this morning after getting a limit of springs but only managed to find pinks and wild coho, but did talk to guys at the dock who were into a few at first light. Steady stream of fish going by at 80 -100 feet all morning. There will be boats out there so just get in line and follow the herd. I find the flood/slack tide best but it was an ebb today and still pretty consistent.
