To report a PIT (Passive Integrated Transponder) tag found on a fish in Nanaimo, you should contact the local Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) office or mail the tag and catch information to Erik Grundmann at the Pacific Biological Station. Specifically, the address is: Erik Grundmann, Pacific Biological Station, 3190 Hammond Bay Road, Nanaimo, B.C. V9T 6N7
I drop off my heads for DNA at Harbour Chandler. DFO picks up from the freezers etc. Maybe take that PIT in and get one the staff to give it to them next time they do a pick up. I would just put where you caught it etc.
Bit slower today compared to the weekend and last week. The schools of coho are moving but if you can find them its on. Small spoons or hootchies are working in 100-50'.
