2025 Campbell River Reports

Heading into Shoal Bay on East Thurlow with some friends at the start of September.

Wondering if they’ll be any opportunities for Springs or Coho nearby (have an boat).

Any info would be much appreciated and happy to report back!

your going to be minutes from two of the best salmon spots going. Hall Point and Davis Point ( Thurston Bay) can be epic. i prefer to fish both on the ebb tide. also Denham Bay along the beaches, greensea bay and Chatham Point. some of the biggest northern coho of the year terrorize those spots and Sept 1 i believe you can retain a wild up there. check your regs

Slow night at the Lighthouse tonight, undersized and a few good hits. Saw one fish boated, looked like a big one.

Wednesday night in front of Fisherman's Wharf at twilight was good.
602 with slip weight. Everybody around heard the Longstone sing!

No worries there, I love the data. I think I finally got it all cleaned up, dumped the carcass at the ramp and put the head in the bin at 11:00 pm.
