Great day out of Ukee yesterday with a bit of a hunt for warmer water. We ended up fishing along about a 3300' depth contour between Father Charles and Clayoquot, particularly in the unexploded ordinance area slightly SW of Clayoquot (we put lines in near 48°43 126°37). It was foggy so we only saw other boats at random but looked to be about 6-8 others out there and a few commercial boats on the radio. We were roughly 47nm back to Ukee at the end of the day with 10 fish and about 4.5 hours with lines in the water, two double headers and 6 singles. We never found an active school and that seemed to be what the commercial boats were relaying as well. Water conditions were great with little to no wind all day and La Perouse showing about 0.8m @ 9s and we were able to rip back in at 30kts. That was our first trip out, just my wife and I, and everything went as well as it could have! Thanks all for sharing so much great info on here over the years.
