I am coming to WH on August 15, and will keep the boat there for a few weeks. Hopefully can catch a couple of days of good weather to go for tuna. Exciting

Riggers at 181 and 201, 320-350 ft of water.
we fished where you did this morning, got a good 45mins in before the wife turned green and had to pound my way back inside again!

Did manage to grab a 24lb spring and a teenager for our short excursion, SE wind made it like a washing machine out there in the beer can I have now lol!

Yup, we just returned from a 2.5 day boat camping trip to WH as well and we honestly couldn’t fit another fish in the 2 fish coolers we brought if we wanted to. We actually had to just reel up and stop fishing to eat a little lunch at one point. 😂 springs at the top corner of RCA was consistent and we even hit springs at the light house too and got all our bottom fish. Saw three giant ocean sun fish and were surrounded by blue sharks while anchored for halibut. I even caught a 5’ blue shark by the tail almost completely spooled me but managed to get it on deck, unfortunately pictures didn’t work out that great, I guess we my buddy had one eye on the shark and forgot how to take a picture lol. What a great trip, great weather, and a great spot. Excessive ice for sale, and everyone is so down to earth and friendly, I just love WH.

We're heading up on Saturday for a week. Never fished this late but I know we'll have a great time. Last year we saw our first Sunfish just west of Kains, right beside the boat...an awesome sight...then 2 minutes later a Right Whale and her calf 50M from the boat. It also ended up being our best bottom day of the trip. Definitely a "unicorn" day.

I have had great trips to WH all the way until the rains set in in sept. Good Luck

Wrapped up an amazing fishing season in WH with some tuna fishing and a wolf eel!

Two days of tuna fishing we got 90 tuna in total! Pushed the boats fuel capacity to the limit at 57 miles from the lighthouse! Had to dip into the fuel reserves to make it home one of the trips! At one point we had fish on all 8 pieces of gear we had in the water!

Finally on the last day of halibut fishing we hooked this wolf eel!

We got all our springs out near the SW corner of the Lippy Pt RCA. Smashed lings about 3 nm north of Solander. Halibut took more work, best spot for us was about 2 nm SW of San Josef Bay. The luxury of super smooth water conditions, going way further afield than normally practical.
Wow, sounds like you put some miles on… those flat water days are the dream!

I've been chartering out of WH for about a dozen trips, these were the best water conditions we've ever encountered.
