Fishing was awesome yesterday. 4 keepers lost 3 and probably a dozen undersized.

Went out Sunday. 3 keepers around 70cm. Weather was meh, but fishing was fun.

Also out Sunday in the wind. One decent keeper that got bbq'd that day. 2 hours effort before packing in.

French creek was good to us today.

Out from 12-3, summer like conditions.
Few for January dinners, 4 similar released, a few lost, and not many under size.
All fished stuffed with 6” herring, nice to see them moving in.
Glow hootchie/ trail head skinny in the mud worked for us.

Went out for a quick fish. 1 at 67cm and not another bite. Fished ballenas. Andrew p spoon at 165 on 200 feet of water.
Saw one other caught.

Went out for a couple hours and fished the humps, 6 undersized between 40-50cm. Flat calm. Another nice winter day. Didn't see any bait.

Looks like schooner cove in nanoose. Is the parking situation any better there these days?

Yes Schooner cove, It has a nice dock but the ramp area is super tight and very little parking. Not a busy ramp in the winter so parking is no issue. In the summer a little more interesting, thus I moore my boat there in the summer. New launch in Lantzville at the first nations. Not sure if the dock is in yet but will be a great ramp

I would think so. Going to reach out to my contact there to find out. Our company built the launch

They are hoping to open to public but are working thru legalities of liability for it

Back at er today. 3 for 4 but 1 had to go back so 2 keepers.

Fished from 9 till 1 yesterday, ballenas and mistaken island. 10 to the boat but only one keeper at 68cm, most were around 50cm. No luck on the crab traps again, I’m new to the area so I guess I gotta find my spots still.

gave it a go at Ballenas today. No luck. Very little bait. Beauty day though.

How’s the fishing and boat launches around nanoose bay? Working over on the island for the month of March wondering if I should bring the boat. Thanks in advance
