Got out this evening. Pretty lumpy. Couldn’t find any coho. Quite a few undersized springs. Released one beautiful spring around 9-12 lbs. spoons got action. Fished off the fingers. Riggers at 100 and 120’. Maybe should have tried shallower.

Saw lots of fished played but seemed like most were released.

Blasted up to Entrance, started in the dark got there 5:30am. Got a hatch in the boat before I could get the second rod in. Then quiet for an hour, got into them again, couple wilds, then a second hatch around 8:15 and took off, as I was by myself. Small 3-4lb fish, wilds were bigger. Purple flasher one side blue flasher other side, same purple/white hoochie that’s been working for me. 55 was the ticket again.

Yep. Last night was awesome. Several large springs released and a limit of hatch cohos. Found the cohos right on the structure 80-90 feet on the the outside of the fingers. Smaller green spoons and 3-4ft leaders, 3mph killed

Lot of action.. big ling in porlier pass, bunch of
Clipped coho on the east side, lots of springs too. Went over to thrasher for a rip doing laps around the marker shallow and fast .. hooked into a massive wild spring. Probably 24 pounder 20 min fight. Was a good release. Lemon lime flash with the short leader little white hooch. Ling ate the herring aid swim bait, first time i had luck with it

Lots of prawns out there too lucky.

Fished last night at the fingers for a few hours. Quite slow but saw a few fish caught. Any reports from Entrance way?

Well opening day for chins and there must have been over 50 boats at the fingers this morning. Surprised no reports. Well for us we only got one legal spring in the morning and one in the afternoon. Lots of smalls and some just unders. Still some nice coho fishing around and was able to scrape some up in the afternoon. Small spoons still doing the most damage. Saw dfo boat heading out about 4:30. 5CA78BCB-6EF6-4B76-B6D6-F091D6BD2EC3.jpeg

I fished 4pm-dark sundown. One wild coho and a couple shakers trolling. Very very slow fishing. Switched to jigging at 9 and got into lots of shakers, iced 2 lings and magically got a 66cm Chinook on the last drop right at dark.

My buddy had the drone aboard and got some fantastic footage

Classic night of ADHD fishing for me I'm sure some of you at the fingers saw me switch from jigging to incoherently trolling and incessantly swapping lures a few times.

Didn't get anything on the troll but eventually found fish on structure scattered around and connected with a nice 70cm. 1.5oz herring aid delta half jig from the Chandler did all the damage. Action was all right at sundown.

Also see link to some of the drone footage my friend posted from Saturday nights fishing expedition:
Go get em!
