Landed several keepers up to 10 lbs and lots of shakers over the long weekend in the sound. Mostly at the wall and whistle bouy. 120-175 deep, purple flasher/purple teaser head and Gibbs outfitter mini g were best performers. Checked Cree, Swale, Vernon bay, Kirby not much for bait or action there.

well the road into Poett nook was a little slippery in spots, but otherwise it was in pretty good shape. Their busy replacing a creek cross partway in. Nice and quiet at the nook.

After a lot of searching (and maybe a bit of begging) for a place to stay, I'm going to Bamfield, for the first time, in August!

no hali love, water was too big to anchor..
our biggest feeder was 8.5 lbs.
too many mini's!!
biggest in the sound i heard where up to 15lbs. rare.

Hopefully the weather settles down.we’re heading over Thursday. Looks like a couple of times we should be able to get out to anchor. But who knows, the weather will change a couple of more times before we get there.

we got hailed on 5 times or more, sunburned, windburned, rained, snowed on, monsoons, lightning, and rainbows! herring season!!
