Working in Bamfield for a few weeks with boat available to me, is there anywhere near bamfield that is open for bottom fish, seems like all areas are closed to Ling and rockfish?

There are inshore halis, but this regs page is confusing me.

Opens April 1 for bottom fish. Halibut are currently closed, depending on how things go either Feb 15 or March 1 opening. But you can still go for salmon!

We’re going to probably catch a early ferry Thursday morning.

Looks like Hali are opening on February 15.
