You thought all you had to worry about was Halibut, well think again.

There is a Victoria based company that is directly responsible for the greatest number of deaths within the local resident killer whale pods. Maybe they should have to buck up and put back some of the profits to help the rebuilding cause. No legal case for this but certainly an ethical one.
Unless you name the company in question and present the evidence your assertion is worth the paper it's written on.
 
Anyone interested in starting a whale hatchery or maybe an open-net whale farm? We could create jobs for local people, draw tourists, and feed the surplus to the DTES. And we could pump all sorts of toxins into the ocean too, including some whale poison. Oh, and they could thrive on baby salmon that accidentally wash into the nets. So we should put them in prime migration routs.
