WTB-Gen 1 Garmin NMEA 2000 T Connector.

Anyone got an old Garmin T connector NMEA 2000 pre 2019 or know where I might find new old stock? The Gen 1 T connector has the key at the 12 o’clock position versus the current version at 45 degrees. Although they’re compatible…..it’s a problem when adding an additional drop on an existing Gen 1 backbone. Located Vancouver.

Try a different brand, I noticed Anchor is clocked differently when I put one in with the yellow end. This is Garmin NIB this week

When it comes to this stuff, and data cables I tend to shy away from the Chinese parts and make sure it's brand name, Garmin is clear about this and the quality of their cable ends.
I think I just split my backbone with a cable last time and turned the offset backbone 180 so it faces down on the angle, to make the clocking issue go away In other words don't mix brands on the same backbones, just have 2 side by side, its only 1 cable.
Seadog and Sierra are also in the NMEA game now

Found this old thread, which identifies that issue

i'll have a look in my bits , mite have a few odd's n end's ... got me thinking who had coastal craft's old stock

Appreciate the help gents. I’ve temporarily connected the new style T-connection to my Gen-1 backbone…..but now the back bone has an odd-butt T making it impossible to screw the backbone against a flat surface. Apparently reading on THT Garmin was the odd man out back in the 2000’s then changed to the new standard around 2021. Meaning all pre 2020 Garmin installs used the Gen 1 connectors with the key located at 12 o’clock.

Re arrange it, endo and flip it over so the up angle becomes a down angle, or just isolate it with a cable. Then you'll be clocked correctly moving forward also
