If you don't get anything via this route, call around a few marinas or independent mechanics. They usually have a few parts motors laying around; a flywheel shouldn't be too hard to come by.
I'm waiting for a call back from RPM they said they might have one. I've phoned pretty well everyone on VI and the mainland. They don't sell a separate ring gear that I've found so far.
