I'm looking for a boat to get my two small kids on the water. We'd mostly be exploring the Gulf islands but I'd also like to get into fishing around Victoria and Oak Bay. Budget is ~$15k.
Max tow weight for my vehicle is 1500 lbs and the boat and trailer need to fit into a 20' carport so I'm looking at 14' boats. From reading through all the related posts I could find on this forum it sounds like a splashwell is a key feature and split middle seats (not a bench) are nice to have.
I've also been looking at Versatile Marine's 14' skiff as an option for a new build if the right used boat doesn't come along this fall.
Please let me know if you have something that fits the bill. Also interested in advice and opinions. Thank you!
