I’m due for new wiper blades. Problem with my existing ones is that they miss the top few inches of the glass. (See photo).

Do they maybe wipers where the pivot is off centre so I can get that top part of the windshield? I can’t seem to find anything.

Perhaps the only option is longer arms but I’m not sure I feel like doing that. Seems odd to me that OEM wipers would miss that top portion. I’m tall so when raining or splashes hit it’s a pain in the neck - literally!

if ytou have glass - which i assume you do, consider using aquapel on it. it is a chlorinated compound which bonds chemically to the glass. reapply every 3 months. then you need wipers only minimally if at all. its $10 per application, less in bulk.

I keep thinking of using rain-x. Cheap and I have it. Works great on the car. But keep forgetting to apply it. Only remember when I’m in the water.

rain-x doesnt chemically bond to the glass. so it wears out really quick. ive tried it several times and its pretty worthless.

No because the bottom is already at the bottom of the glass. Longer blades would overlap the frame.

Don’t worry. In a few months this will be at the bottom of your priority list. Just put your rainx on.

Or get longer blades and chop a bit off the bottom so they don’t overlap the frame but make it all the way to the top

I’ve used Rain-X for over 25 years on my vehicles. I find it works very well and lasts quite long. It’s all about the cleaning prep work. But it really doesn’t start to work its magic until you hit speeds of over 70km/hr. But wipers at low speed do fling the water off nicely.

From your Pic it looks like you need not only a longer arm but also Pantograph arms which would allow a fuller sweep
